Johnson<\/strong>&nbsp;is the founder and webmaster of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/aalbc.com\/\">AALBC.com<\/a>&nbsp;(The African American Literature Book Club), and President of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/aalbc.com\/\">AALBC.com<\/a>, LLC. He started&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/aalbc.com\/\">AALBC.com<\/a>&nbsp;in October of 1997, and today it is the oldest, largest, and most frequently visited website dedicated to books written by or about people of African descent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/aalbc.com\/\">AALBC.com<\/a>, Johnson has launched several&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aalbc.com\/writers\/index.php\">other internet based businesses<\/a>&nbsp;including;&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/edit1st.com\/\">Edit 1st<\/a>, a manuscript editing service. As a website consultant, Johnson shares his wealth of experience and knowledge about&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aalbc.com\/writers\/one-on-one-internet-consulting.html\">managing websites with individuals and groups<\/a>. He also writes and advocates for books, publishing, independent websites, and Black culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson spent over 20 years of corporate settings designing wide area networks for defense contractors and managing international projects for Wall Street firms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An educator, Johnson has been an Adjunct Lecturer at Baruch College\u2019s Zicklin School of Business since 2014 and he has presented at conferences internationally and throughout the United States including, Book Expo America, The National Black Writers Conference, The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation\u2019s Annual Legislative Conference, Sacred Circle\/Spoken Word International Festival, The Antigua &amp; Barbuda International Literary Festival, The Kingston Book Festival, Small Press Center\u2019s New York Round Table Writers\u2019 Conference, The National Black Book Festival, Harvard African American Student Union and many others<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His radio and television appearances include C-SPAN2\u2019s BookTV, and the What\u2019s The 411 television program in New York City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson has been recognized in articles that have appeared in&nbsp;<em>Publishers Weekly<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>The Amsterdam News<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>The New York Times<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Essence Magazine<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Black Issues Book Review, The Network Journal, The New York Beacon, Emerge Magazine, Black Enterprise, The Philadelphia Sun<\/em>, and many other publications. &nbsp; He has written articles and provided content to publications ranging from&nbsp;<em>Mosaic Literary Magazine, the Electronic Urban Report<\/em>, and the&nbsp;<em>Black EOE Journal<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson has served on numerous advisory boards and committees including&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/bookshop.org\/\">Bookshop.org<\/a>, Syracuse University\u2019s Alumni Association Board, the Literary Freedom Project, Harlem World Magazine, The Sacramento Black Book Festival, The Harlem Book Fair, Black American\u2019s in Publishing, and New York is Book Country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His website&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/aalbc.com\/\">AALBC.com<\/a>&nbsp;was listed by EarthLink as one of \u201cThe 100 Best Websites for African Americans.\u201d In 2005 he was named one of the 50 Most Powerful African Americans in Publishing by&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aalbc.com\/writers\/black.htm\"><em>Black Issues Book Review<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Syracuse University, an MS from Polytechnic University, and an MBA from New York University\u2019s Stern School of Business. He has also completed Stanford University\u2019s Publishing on the Web course. He has two adult daughters and lives in Tulsa, OK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Johnson is promoting the premier, Black-owned,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aalbc.com\/content.php?title=A+List+of+Black-Owned+Book+Distributors+and+Wholesalers#note\">book distributors<\/a>&nbsp;in the country. &nbsp;He said&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/aalbc.com\/\">AALBC.com<\/a>, buys books for resale from the businesses below and encourages consumers to know and purchase from these Black owned businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have titles, including many AALBC bestselling books, that are simply unavailable from any other distributors.
