And somehow that makes it OK. The \u201cit\u201d is the vile, contemptuous racists and xenophobic language spewed from the mouth of Michele Bachmann \u2026 former United States Congresswoman of the 6th<\/sup> Congressional District in Minnesota, Michele Bachmann \u2026 current advisor to the White House under President Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In response to the tragic shooting of Justine Damond by Minneapolis Police Officer Mohamed Noor, Bachmann told a group of state GOP candidates and others, \u201cWe had a man, Mohamed Noor, who was an affirmative-action hire by the hijab-wearing mayor of Minneapolis, Betsy Hodges.\u201d She went on to say Noor shot Damond for \u201ccultural reasons.\u201d Those \u201ccultural reasons\u201d according to Bachmann \u2026 Noor may have flipped out suffering a \u201ccultural seizure\u201d at the sight of a woman wearing pajamas. The latter is what she said during an interview with far-right website, www.wnd.com<\/a>. During her July 19 talk with her GOP friends, which was on the subject of the changing demographics of the state, Bachmann warned her GOP pals \u2013 and trust, these are her buddies \u2013 to not shy away from their racists musings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cToo many people are afraid of being called \u2018racist,\u2019 \u2018bigots,\u2019 \u2018Islamophobe; I\u2019m not afraid of it,\u201d proudly proclaimed the racist, bigoted Islamophobic Bachmann.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bachmann\u2019s words are not just words. For her followers and those who think like her, it\u2019s a call to action. Hate crimes are spiking in the Trump era and Bachmann is happy to add fuel to the flames. Never mind the fact that in 2015 a Somali woman was slashed about the face at a local Applebee\u2019s for no other reason than speaking in Swahili. Let\u2019s not bring up the two Muslim men shot last year outside of a mosque in Minneapolis. Or the multiple mosque fires throughout the state. Bachmann is out for blood \u2026 in the most literal sense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But where\u2019s the rebuke? Outside of those most affected, our Somali brothers and sisters, there\u2019s been little outrage. Not too many people are coming to the already fearful community\u2019s defense. Democratic leaders aren\u2019t condemning Bachmann. Of course, her Republican pals aren\u2019t talking out against her. In fact, the head of the Minnesota GOP, Jennifer Carnahan \u2026 an ethnic minority herself \u2026 gushed over Bachmann\u2019s words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWonderful to be a part of last night\u2019s event in Carver County. Congresswoman Michele Bachmann gave an incredible speech,\u201d wrote Carnahan on July 20 on her Facebook page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What\u2019s the fear; that in condemning the vile of Bachmann, you\u2019ll be labeled in support of the cop that killed Damond? That can\u2019t be it \u2026 can it?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I condemn the actions of Noor. Justine Damond should still be alive \u2026 period. And with that said, I equally condemn the words of a seemingly unhinged Michele Bachmann. Her rhetoric, if unchecked, will lead to further violence against Muslims \u2026 period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And here\u2019s the kicker \u2026 there\u2019s talk of this racist, bigoted Islamophobe Bachmann running for governor of Minnesota.
