Earlier this week, I was interviewed by the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s award winning journalist Ernie Suggs about the respectful debate that’s emerged among Morehouse alumni about President Joe Biden being tapped to serve as this year’s commencement speaker.
While many Morehouse Men support the president giving the speech, many others stand in strong opposition.
Suffice it to say that I fully support Mr. Biden speaking on campus next month, and I express my sincere hope that he uses the opportunity to engage in a deep dialogue about his past, present, and future record with respect to the Black Community—and his plans to help rebuild Gaza and facilitate a New Palestine.
