Please join the Jordan Park Site Council for “Meet the School Board Candidates” forum at Jordan Park Community School, 1501 30th Avenue North, Monday, May 22nd from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Four positions on the Minneapolis Public Schools’ seven-member school board will be decided this November. The Minneapolis Board of Education is a policy-making body responsible for selecting the superintendent and overseeing the district’s budget, curriculum, personnel and facilities. This is your chance to find out where the candidates stand on important issues facing our schools. Hear at length from some of the people who want to shape the policies for a district as big and complex as Minneapolis Public Schools.
Hear the candidates state their positions and answer questions posed by the moderator and by citizens. The forum will be moderated by the League of Women’s Voters.
Candidates invited to appear include: Pam Costain, Jill Davis, Fred Easter, Joe Erickson, Doug Mann, Chris Stewart, Polly Harrison-Townsend, Judith James, Tom Madden and T. Williams.
